CONFERENCE THEME

As the 2011 Health and Social Care and Localism bills are enacted, the National Health Service and Social Services in England are preparing to respond to some of the most profound changes since their inception. We will ask:

How will people and organisations used to centralised direction need to change so that they can succeed in a world of greater responsibility, competition and diversity?
What can clinicians, directors and managers learn from UK experience of existing third- sector bodies providing health and social care services?
What can we learn from overseas examples of successful and long-established health and social care co-operative bodies?

WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND THIS CONFERENCE
Through a compelling mix of plenary presentations from leading third-sector practitioners, forthright discussion and hands-on workshops sessions based on inspiring case-studies, this conference will:

Provide hard headed, practical advice on setting up new third-sector bodies
Address the vital underlying issues of vision and leadership
Focus on governance models and the management of public liability
Explore how to successfully engage the support of staff and service users
Investigate how to best develop the skills critical to success

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

All clinical, social care, educational and managerial staff from the NHS or Local Government sectors who expect to take key roles in setting up and managing new not-for- profit commissioning and provider organisations
Leaders from existing third sector organisations who wish to develop their business models to operate successfully in the emerging health economy
Representatives from organisations providing developmental support for new and existing third sector bodies.

SPECIAL LOW COST ATTENDANCE
We recognise that funds may well be severely limited in these times of austerity and so we are offering delegate places for all frontline clinical, social care, educational and managerial staff from the NHS and Local Government Sectors at just £95+VAT.
